Who Is This Course For?

Students aged 12+ who can read the Quran and want to deepen their understanding. Suitable for adults who have completed Tajweed or Hifz and want to connect with the Quran's meaning. No prior Arabic grammar knowledge is required — our teachers explain in English (or Urdu, based on your preference).

How It Works

2. Get matched with a teacher — we select a teacher qualified in Tafseer based on your language preference and prior knowledge
3. Start with Surah Al-Fatihah — every student begins with the opening Surah, then progresses through selected Surahs
4. Discuss and reflect — each session combines explanation, discussion, and personal reflection

What to Expect

This is a journey, not a race. Most students study Tafseer of the last Juz (Juz 30) first — the shorter Surahs that are recited most often in prayer. From there, you can continue to other parts of the Quran. There is no fixed completion timeline; the goal is understanding, not speed.

Recommended Before This Course

You should be able to read the Quran comfortably. If you cannot yet read Arabic, start with Noorani Qaida. If you can read but want to improve your recitation first, take Quran Reading with Tajweed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know Arabic grammar? No. Our teachers explain the meaning in English (or Urdu). Arabic vocabulary is introduced gradually as you progress.

Which Tafseer book do you follow? Our teachers primarily reference Ibn Kathir and al-Sa'di, with supplementary insights from other classical sources. You are welcome to follow along with any Tafseer you prefer.

Can I study specific Surahs? Yes. After the initial sessions, you can request to focus on particular Surahs that interest you.
